Corner Book Shelf

Store Warmth And Ambience In A Corner Book Shelf

Few things are as appealing in a home as a corner reading nook, complete with a comfortable chair, a peaceful lamp, a blanket, and a corner book shelf. Just looking at such a space can bring warmth and peace to a person, not to mention the good it does for the soul to actually use it!  Even a small unused corner in a hallway, under a staircase, or in a bedroom can be turned into a reading nook with  little creativity and the proper furniture and accessories. For the avid reader, this will be like a little slice of heaven in the home. Decorating magazines and websites can provide some great inspiration if you need help getting started on your own corner reading space.

One of the central elements of such a space is the corner book shelf. After all, in order to sit down and read, you will need a book! Not only is the shelving important to hold the books, it can also hold a lamp and perhaps some photographs or other personal items to give the space warmth and character. A corner book shelf can be an actual bookcase that is made to go in a corner, or it can be corner shelves that are mounted to the walls. Corner shelves can be found in all types of decorating styles, ranging from ultra-modern metal corner shelves to traditional, beautiful, country-style oak shelves.

Price ranges for a corner book shelf have just as much variation as the style. You can find them inexpensively (under $100, in many cases) at big retailers that sell laminate furniture options. You can also find them at high-end furniture stores that sell bookshelves for thousands of dollars. Yet another option is to have a corner shelf custom made for your space and your decorating style. This will not be inexpensive, but you are guaranteed to get exactly what you want.

Shopping for a corner shelf unit can be a big adventure, or it can be as simple as clicking a mouse from the comfort of your own home. Online retailers offer many shelves, many at discounted prices. If you shop around and keep your eyes open for specials, you may even find that shipping costs aren't even a factor in online buying. Any way you go about buying it, a corner book shelf will make a charming addition to any space.

Have an empty corner in your apartment that draws attention away from the rest of the room because its just soooo...empty? Or do you have an empty corner that you just want to fill? A corner book shelf could be a nice addition, you can put anything else you'd like to display to your apartment guests.

I have a tiny apartment and small spaces are hard to decorate especially if there are items that need to sit on shelves, and wall shelves are not an option. However I manage to have a great saving space with my corner book shelf. They take up less floor space and sit in the corner out of the way. They are a great way to display collectibles, figurines, crafts, trophies and other items that need to be displayed in a home.

The TV Shelf - Types and Trends of TV Shelves

By Michael Bunch
You've bought that brand new high-def plasma TV, and you need a place to put it.
